Andy Carroll scored last week and will be confident of repeating the feat against a fragile Man Utd defence
Manchester United come into the game on a high having overturned a 2-0 deficit to beat Olympiakos in mid-week. The problem for United this season has been consistency. On numerous occasions after a positive performance, they have failed to show up, they will be hoping the same doesn’t happen again at Upton Park. West Ham however, have won their last three home matches and with Andy Carroll fit, and fresh off the back of a goal last weekend, the United defenders know they will be in for an aerial bombardment. With Robin van Perise likely to be rested ahead of Tuesday’s Manchester derby, Danny Welbeck will have to fill in. David Moyes’ still a remote chance of getting 4th spot, whilst West Ham, currently sitting six point above the drop, know a win will put them within touching distance of safety.
