As the final Premier League weekend before the International break comes along, our friends at thatsagoal.com have their weekend Premier League betting tips.
Chelsea play in the Super Cup against Bayern Munich so we have just the nine fixtures to take a look at this weekend with matches stretching from 12.45pm on Saturday to two blockbusters on Sunday where Liverpool host Manchester United before the North London Derby.
Bet 1: Dzeko to score anytime – Evens with Betfred
Our first betting tip of the weekend comes from the Manchester City vs Hull City match and we are banking on one of City’s front-line to bring home the bacon. Edin Dzeko got the opening goal last weekend before Cardiff somehow produced a memorable comeback to win but we are backing the Bosnian to score again here. He has attempted more shots than any other player this season and if he starts he will be adding to that tally of 10 here.
Bet 2: West Ham to beat Stoke: Evens with William Hill
Next up we look to one of the 3pm kick-offs and a team who gave us a winning tip on the opening day of the season. That team is West Ham United who entertain Stoke on Saturday. The Hammers beat Cardiff in their first home game of the season and can dish out a similar fate to Stoke. They have kept a clean sheet in three of their last four at home and Stoke have only won one of their last 12 Premier League away games with West Ham winning two and losing none of their last four home meetings with Stoke. UK bookmakers William Hill are offering Evens on a home win which is tempting us! West Ham are a good thing at home and Stoke are bad away, bet on the home win here.
Bet 3: Tottenham to score the first goal vs Arsenal – 7/5.
Finally we wait until the last match of the weekend, the North London Derby between Arsenal and Tottenham. There are a few ways we can play this one based on stats alone, 13 of the last 14 have produced three goals or more (over 2.5 here is 4/6) or a red card in the match at 2/1 (Betfair) are both reasonable plays but for our bet we are looking at two options from the same stat. Spurs have scored first and lost in their last two trips to the Emirates, Spurs to score first is 7/5 (Bwin) or back Spurs to score but not win the match with Paddy Power
If you fancy betting on the treble, it pays a best price 8.2/1 with Bet365.
