When Mancini left City last season it meant that in terms of fantasy squad selection there would no more #ManciniRoulette.
New manager and new ideas means that we now have what we like to affectionately call #PellegriniPotLuck.
City have such a good overall Squad that decisions have to be made each week in terms of the Starting 11.
Joe Hart may have taken some criticism lately but there are 10% of FPL managers who still believe in him between the sticks going into GW7.
In terms of ownership, Yaya Toure leads the way for City with 35.2% ownership closely followed by Defender Zabaleta with 32.4%.
Elsewhere the fact that Dzeko and Negredo seem to be competing for the same spot has made many drop Dzeko after a fine pre-season with Aguero being the favoured front man with 9.7% ownership.
Everton currently hold the impressive record of being the only unbeaten club in the Premiership as we head into the first match of Gameweek 7 with 3 wins and 3 draws from their first 5 matches. From a fantasy perspective they are proving to be a popular choice for FPL managers also. Leighton Baines has been a fantasy favourite now for the past few seasons and his attacking threat has meant he always has secured his position as one of the most popular defenders in the game. This track record however comes at a price, (7.6m to be exact) making him the most expensive defender in the game. However his price tag has not deterred 27.5% of all managers from bringing him in.
It would be easy to assume that with pedigree, potential and history on his side Baines would be the most popular Everton pick however not so, this is an honour held by another- in 2nd place Defender Seamus Coleman (and Midfielder Ross Barkley who command a 29.1% and 33.5% ownership respectively. Coleman looks revitalised under Martinez after a quieter season in 12/13 and Barkley has had a great start to the season so far as he looks set to fight to retain his place in the starting 11 on merit.
Elsewhere, Chelsea might rue sending Lukaku out on loan again this year. The Belgian striker has bags of ability and his 16.4% ownership means that there will be plenty of FPL managers keen for him to continue the form he showed last season at WBA. His first half performance last week at Newcastle was a joy to watch. Can he replicate it against sterner opposition?
