We did toy with the idea of running an individual Champions League game… But realistically we already struggle to keep up to speed with the Hollyoaks omnibus as it is!
That’s why FantasyYIRMA recommends Fantasy iTeam if you are looking for Champions League Fantasy Action.

Gameround 8 Continues – 2 down, 2 to go!
We have 4 fixtures to look forward to next week:
Tuesday 18th March – 7.45pm
Chelsea vs Galatasaray
Real Madrid vs Schalke
Wednesday 19th March – 7.45pm
Dortmund vs Zenit
Man Utd vs Olympiacos
Everything went pretty much as expected last week – City and Arsenal failed to recover from their first leg defeats, and Atletico and PSG were never really troubled. We’re now in real danger of having no English clubs in the quarter finals.
Real Madrid could field their youth team against Schalke and still be confident of going through to the next stage. Thousands of us are hoping that the likes of Ronaldo and Bale aren’t rested for this one, but with the El Clasico being played 5 days after this, would you play them? At the time of writing this the only injury doubt is Arbeloa… Khedira is the only long term absentee.
Chelsea aren’t in a bad position, an away goal and home advantage sets them up nicely. Unbelievably they have to play Arsenal in the first match of Gameweek 31, the Premier League really don’t help out our Champions League clubs do they? As long as they focus on the task in hand they should go through though. Matic isn’t eligible and Luiz and Cole remain doubts but Torres should recover in time.
Zenit need to score at least 3 to stand a chance of making the quarters, sadly for them they’ve averaged only 1 goal a game during the group stages, but anything is possible I guess… I don’t think Dortmund are in a safe enough position to rest anyone, so the likes of Reus and Lewandowski should make the team – both missed out last weekend with slight injuries but should recover in time for Wednesday.
Last up we have the not so mighty Manchester United… the team is unbeaten in their last 4 EPL games, RvP has declared himself more than happy, and if they can get a result against Liverpool on Sunday confidence will be sky high. United will have to be very careful though, they have no away goal, so they can’t go all-out attack… it will be an interesting game.
From a FiT point of view you need to be smart with your remaining transfers. Personally I’d use what you have left to bring in players from Real Madrid or Dortmund and dumping players that have already been eliminated from the competition. You will receive 3 free transfers and 1 optional on Thursday at 4pm, and the draw for the quarters will take place on Friday 21st March.
If you haven’t created your free Champions League iTeam yet, it’s not too late. With lots of gameround prizes still to give away, it’s definitely worth having a go. Newly created iTeams have been winning a lot of the prizes recently.
