We did toy with the idea of running an individual Champions League game… But realistically we already struggle to keep up to speed with the Hollyoaks omnibus as it is!
That’s why FantasyYIRMA recommends Fantasy iTeam if you are looking for Champions League Fantasy Action.

Gameround 9 – Can the Champions beat the Champions?
Manchester United won’t retain the Premier League title this season, but if they’re are to overcome this fantastic Bayern side, they will need to play like champions. Remarkably, Pep Guardiola’s Bayern side have already retained the Bundesliga title, and currently sit 23 points ahead of rivals, Dortmund.
Bayern were able to rest a number of first team regulars at the weekend, but sadly for them, Thiago picked up a knee injury that will see him sidelined for up to two months. Dante also misses out through suspension. Man United will be without RVP, the ineligible Juan Mata, and the suspended Evra. The likes of Smalling and Evans will be assessed, and could play a part.
Tuesday will also see the top 2 Spanish sides facing off against each other! Atletico Madrid are currently top of the Spanish Primera, with Barcelona only 1 point behind them, and Real Madrid 3 points adrift – it’s going to be a very exciting run in. I wonder what the odds are of both Liverpool and Atletico being crowned champions?
Messi and Costa are both in fine form at the moment, and the likes of Garcia and Neymar have racked up a fair few FiT points so far. There aren’t any serious injury concerns for either team, and both will field their strongest line-ups.
Chelsea will travel to Paris for their Quarter Final match, and with the Premier League title looking like a tough ask, I believe the Champions League will be their main focus. It’s not been confirmed yet, but Cole and Eto’o are likely to miss out, so if Chelsea are going to get a result, they will need Torres to step up!
Surprisingly, Cavani and Ibrahimovic, both played the full 90 minutes on Friday evening, with Matuidi and Alex rested. PSG are now 13 points clear at the top of the league, so they will be completely focused on Champions League glory. Can Terry and Cahill stop the mighty Zlatan?
Last up, Real Madrid v Dortmund! In 2013, it was Dortmund who triumphed, with Lewandowski the hero. Sadly for them (and for us FiT managers), he will miss out on Wednesday through suspension, it’s a massive blow. Real will be full of confidence, with Bale and Ronaldo netting 3 goals between them at the weekend.
There is some good news for Dortmund though, Reus is back, and he scored a wonderful hat-trick at the weekend. They are still without the injured Bender, Blaszcykowski, Gundogan and Subotic. Real won’t have Khedira, Jese and Arbeloa available, all miss out through injury.
From a FiT point of view you need to be smart with your transfers. It would be wise to see how Tuesday’s matches play out, and then bring in players from either Real Madrid, Chelsea, or PSG. At this stage of the competition you need to take some risks, but you might not need to put all your eggs into one basket. Still, it’s important to know that you can also select 5 players from the same club now – fill your boots!
If you haven’t created your free Champions League iTeam yet, it’s not too late. With lots of gameround prizes still to give away, it’s definitely worth having a go. Newly created iTeams have been winning a lot of the prizes recently.
