I don’t know if you feel like me but it was a difficult few days without the Premier League. Yes we had a few decent results for the Home Nations in the European Championships but it is small beer compared to the nitty gritty of the Premiership. We have some superb games on offer as always and I will try and keep up what has been a more than decent start when it comes to predictions. Seven right, eight right and five right has been fair enough s0 here goes again to this week. Eyes down etc..
Arsenal v Manchester City
It’s quite a start to the weekend with Arsenal at home to last year’s Champions Manchester City. Last season I would have tipped City to win this game but I fell that Arsenal are a better side this season than last. They have added a few good players in the likes of Sanchez and they also picked up a United reject in Danny Welbeck.
City are a strong side as well and whilst I tipped them to win the league I think they will find it harder this season than last. This is a game which will see the pubs packed and I expect a lot bets going on this one . On the basis that Arsenal look to be a better attacking option than last season I think it will finish a draw and I think both side will be happy enough. Draw.
Chelsea v Swansea
Both these sides are sitting with a hundred per cent record and Swansea will be delighted with that. They started with the win at United but Chelsea are not United. Chelsea I feel are a better side than they were last season and Mourinho appears to have finally nabbed a few players of quality. Fabregas could turn out to be the signing of the season.
He call the shots in the middle of the park to allow the likes of Costa to take the chances.
Swansea will battle all the way but Chelsea just look too strong. Home win.
Crystal Palace v Burnley
It could be a long hard season for Burnley.. No easy games for them. They got a super draw with United last time out and Palace under new boss Neil Warnock battled to a 3-3 draw at Newcastle. Palace lost Tony Pulis at the start of the season but they have responded well. Burnley will fight all the way but you do wonder where they will get the goals.
Palace were very good at home last season and they will need to replicate that this season as well. I think they will be too strong in this one. Home Win.
Southampton v Newcastle
Three games in and yet no wins for Newcastle. They do look like a side who are under some pressure. Southampton I think are a more than decent team. They won well at West Ham and I think their manager Ronald Koeman will end up doing a very good job.
They do have Shane Long in attack but I think he is more like a journeyman striker if you ask me. He is far from prolific but he will get some goals and that will probably be enough for the Saints.
I can’t see Newcastle getting anything out of this. Home win.
Stoke v Leicester
Leicester got a good draw with Arsenal but Arsenal allow people to play football. Stoke are a different animal and a different animal at home. Stoke will chase and fight for every ball in this fixture as they will see three points at the end of it.
I agree. Home win.
Sunderland v Spurs
Spurs are a side who have battled above their weight for the past few seasons. Sunderland produced a miracle last season to survive and with that has come great confidence. They will not fear Spurs at home but the London side should be good enough for at least a point.
Draw.
West Brom v Everton
Everton are not the team they were last season. I think they have struggled this season. Two draws and one win is a fair start but that is it. West Brom are a team that need to do well at home. They will not be up there with the best at the end of the season. I know many people will be tipping Everton to win this one but I think the home side can battle to a point.
Draw.
Liverpool v Aston Villa
A more than decent start for Villa this season but this I feel is a step up in class. Liverpool have a bit to go but they are a stronger side than Villa and will be too good. Both sides are missing strikers.. Sturridge is missing as is Benteke but Liverpool do have an in from Sterling. I just think that Liverpool will have too much in this one and I fancy a few goals from them.
Home win
Manchester United v QPR
Man United are not the team of old. They have so many new faces and yet the results stay the same. Falcao will be hoping to make an impression and all United fans will be hoping he can get the goals which the team so badly needs. According to some experts Juan Mata could be the player to lose in the future and that will be a shame.
United may have plenty of strikers but they also have serious problems at the back. They are lacking there big time and that will cause them serious problems before the end of the season. Problems later on but not in this fixture. QPR are trying to build themselves into a strong side but even they won’t be good enough at Old Trafford. Three points and huge relief for their thousands of loyal fans here at home.
Home win.
Hull v West Ham
It maybe the Monday night football game but it’s hardly a game that will have too many glued to the TV screens. West Ham will have struggled to cope with the hoke defeat to Southampton. Hull are out of Europe and in truth that will do them no hard at all. Hull are a good side at home and I think they have made some very good signings.
I fancy a home win.
man u will win tomorrow match?
