Manchester City v Leicester
In effect City are now really eight points off the lead held by Chelsea. Five points behind and Chelsea have a game in hand it looks all over if you ask me. I tipped City to retain the title and at one stage they battled back from being eight behind to draw level before losing out once more. Two Premier league wins back to back was followed by the Champions League defeat to Barcelona and then of course the loss at Liverpool. Things are not going great at City and the fans are beginning to turn their anger against the manager. The buck does stop with him but the players too have a certain responsibility. This evening those same players will take three points you would think at home to bottom side Leicester.
In their last 21 games Leicester have lost fifteen out of 21 games and City have only three wins in eight league games in 2015. Despite the poor form of Vincent Kompany City to win with something to spare.
Home win.

Newcastle v Man United
United are just five points behind Manchester City and they are in the last eight of the FA Cup. Sounds decent? I’m not so sure.
United under Van Gaal are hard to watch if you ask me. Yes they are winning most games but they have lost the sparkle associated with United teams of the past. If you consider he spent a shed load of money on players that really should not be the case. United lost last time at Swansea and that just about sums up their season. United teams of the past would have won that with something left in the tank.
Newcastle away will not be easy. Newcastle have had a difficult season and yet over 52,000 fans turned up for their last home game, a win over Villa. A big crowd tonight as well for a game I feel could easily finish in a draw.
Draw.

QPR V Arsenal
Another London derby with Arsenal sitting pretty in third spot and yet there are still huge question marks over the team. That home defeat to Monaca left so many questions which still remain. There is little or no consistency with Arsenal and you never know what to expect. You say no consistency and yet they are unbeaten in 18 of their last 21 games. The problem is that Arsenal tend to lose all the vital games. This won’t be easy but to be fair QPR are no great shakes either. Arsenal have won their last three against QPR and whilst they do struggle at Loftus Road I still expect them to win.
QPR have lost five of their last six games and that poor form makes them prime candidates for the dreaded drop. Tonight won’t help the cause.
Away win.

Stoke v Everton
Stoke have never finished above Everton in the top Division but they will do so this season. Everton have fallen away and Europe is their only hope but they are a pale shadow of the side from last season. They won 1-0 at Everton earlier in the season and they will be hoping and confident of doing the double.
Everton have no wins in their last five visits to Stoke and its hard to see that changing this time out. Stoke have only has three defeats in the league in their last thirteen games so they are in fairly good shape. I fancy them to be too strong here.
Home win.

Spurs v Swansea
It’s 85 years since Swansea picked up a league point at White Hart Lane. The only thing left for Spurs is a place in the top four and that seems beyond them at this stage. They will still want to keep on winning and this evening the club will honour the late great Dave Mackay and if that doesn’t get them going then nothing will.
Spurs come into this game on the back of that Wembley defeat to Chelsea so they do need to bounce back.
Spurs are unbeaten in their last seven fixtures at home to Swansea winning six of those and you would have to be fancying them this evening.
No wins in five league and Cup games Spurs need to end that dismal run. I expect to do that here.
Home win.

West Ham v Chelsea
I think we can all agree that the Premiership title is heading to Chelsea. I can’t see City getting back into the race at all. Chelsea celebrated the win at Wembley and they do have to be careful in this fixture. West Ham have slipped so much. Just one league win since Christmas. Not good enough. They have slipped from fourth to ninth in the table. Chelsea will score in this fixture which will make life very difficult for West Ham. West Ham have one league win in their last 17 against Chelsea and the form is with Jose Mourininho and his team.
Chelsea normally keep a clean sheet when they play West Ham so it could be difficult. Having said all that there is always an edge in this fixture and this evening will be no different.
I can’t see Chelsea slipping up all the same. Chelsea have only had one defeat in their last 11 games. They can see the end of the road and their first league title in five years.
Chelsea to win.

Liverpool v Burnley
Liverpool are the form side in the Premiership. They are the only team who are unbeaten since the turn of the year and they were very impressive in the win over City.
If they can beat City they can beat Burnley.
Liverpool are in 6th place only two points behind Man United in fourth and Brendan Rodgers deserves so much credit.
Everyone was giving him stick a few short months ago but he has turned it around and in some style. Burnley will park the bus this evening but Liverpool look to have too much.
They have won six of their last seven league games and Burnley have won win in their last eleven league fixtures.
Burnley have one win on the road and that was at Stoke back in November. Liverpool have won their last seven at home against Burnley.
Liverpool to win and keep the pressure on Man United.
Home win.
