Tips out for YIRMA : Benteke to keep Villa on the money?

Big thanks to That’s A Goal for their GW2 Predictions. They did excellent last week with 2 out of 3 bets landing and only missing out on a full house by 1 goal!

After being a goal short of a clean sweep of winners last weekend are back with another three betting tips for this weekend’s football.

The opening weekend of Premier League action certainly lived up to the hype with Aston Villa arguably providing the shock of the opening weekend, picking up three well deserved points at Arsenal. We’re not sure what Gabby Agbonlahor has been doing over the summer but he looks set to have a fantastic season in front of him.

Elsewhere the Championship contenders all obliged with victories, Manchester City’s looked the most impressive on paper but Newcastle were dreadful and not helped by the stupidity of Steven Taylor.

Onto this weekend then and we start with the very first game of the weekend when Arsenal travel to Fulham.

Bet 1: Arsenal to beat Fulham: 23/20 with Bet Victor

The Gunners bounced back from defeat last weekend to thrash Fenerbache in the Champions League and that stand them in a strong position to beat Fulham here. Giroud got them off to a flyer last week before they crumbed and went down to 10 men.

Fulham pipped Sunderland with a 1-0 victory but can come unstuck against an Arsenal side who love playing Fulham. The Cottagers have lost 16 times against Arsenal in the Premier League and Arsenal picked up the most points in London derbies last season. Get your weekend off to a flyer by backing an Arsenal win here.

Bet 2: Lambert to score first (8/1) and/or anytime at 6/4 with Ladbrokes.

For our second bet we look to a player having the best few weeks of his life. Southampton’s Rickie Lambert can do no wrong and he can get on the scoresheet again against a Sunderland side who are already close to struggling. The big spending Saints should have enough to win comfortably here and Lambert will be getting all the chances. The temptation is to back him to score first (Ladbrokes are going 8/1 from midday on Saturday) but for a safer option take the 6/4 he scores anytime in the match.

Bet 3: Aston Villa (double chance) at 10/11 with Bet365.

Aston Villa have been given an unbelievably tough start to the season but deserve more than the three points they picked up at the Emirates last weekend. Their 2-1 loss to Chelsea was harsh in midweek and that momentum can continue here against Liverpool. Liverpool are always underpriced to win matches because of the Asian markets and this is true again.

Benteke and Agbonlahor look set to prove a valuable partnership this season and can cause Liverpool more problems. The Reds needed a late penalty save last week to pick up a 1-0 win and should be priced longer for this. Villa are 16/5 to win and that is the value but for a safer bet go with Aston Villa to win or draw at 10/11 with Bet365.
