WEST HAM v QPR- Preview By @JamesMartin013

The late kick-off sees a second London derby. West Ham have been in excellent form of late, beating Liverpool fairly comfortably then only narrowly missing out on a result against United. Rangers, on the other hand, are bottom of the table and floundering- they could really do with a result.

The Hammers have to be viewed as strong favourites for this game; the dangerous duo of Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia has been wreaking havoc on defences this season. QPR, who have shown themselves vulnerable to strong attacks against both Spurs and United, will be very concerned about this double threat. Owners of either of the West Ham forwards will probably be quietly confident of some points, and I can’t say I blame them. Stewart Downing could also score well- he has been deployed in the hole rather than out wide in recent games, and it has breathed new life into him.

However, this game is by no means a write-off for the Rs. Charlie Austin showed last week against Southampton that he has the quality to pose a real threat to defences, and Niko Kranjcar’s long shots are always worth looking out for. Summer signing Eduardo Vargas could also have some sort of impact; he got the assist for Austin’s goal last week.
