I didn’t believe it myself, but it’s true – Real Madrid have never beaten Liverpool in a competitive game. After a below-par performance against QPR, and with Sturridge sidelined, surely that record is about to come to an end. But, you just never know…

(Ed: In fairness they have never beat Larne FC in a competitive game either)

Here is the FiT Champions League team of the week for Gameround 2:

MID Karnitski 8 pts
MID Bohar 8 pts

FOR Welbeck 17 pts

Quite a few unknowns in that lot, and what a performance from Welbeck. Who will be in the team of the round for GR3? Chelsea at home to Maribor looks ripe for mega points, as does Barcelona at home to Ajax. It might also be worth considering Atletico Madrid players, they play hosts to Malmo.

Gameround 3 is a bonus transfer round! You have 3 free transfers and the option to purchase a 4th – use them wisely… The best way to use them is to take players out AFTER they have played on Tuesday and bring in players who are going to feature on Wednesday. You bank all the points scored by your Tuesday players, even if you transfer them out. As usual we will provide all team line-ups about an hour before kick off.
