Forward – Alvaro Morata, Chelsea

The season started with six from six (with two assists!); since he’s got four from 18 (with two assists!). Alvaro Morata can’t be feeling much love in the Chelsea locker room as the Blues have been linked with everyone from Andy Carroll and Peter Crouch to Eden Dzeko and Joselu. But the 25 y/o is scoring at a good clip (10 from 1522′) just not the absurd 15 from 1334′ he managed in part-time play for Madrid. And while Eden Hazard continues to be linked w/ Real, the rest of this squad is not the attacking dervish Morata thrives in. All that is fixed by opposition, as the Cherries have allowed 18 goals in 12 away days; conceding 4.67 shots on target from 14.25 shots per match in those outings. A nice cherry on top? Alvaro picked up an assist in the reverse fixture GW10.

Captain – Mo Salah, Liverpool

For those of you keeping track: the league leader in goals is not Harry Kane (21g 1a). It is Mo Salah (18g 8a). The Egyptian maestro has contributed to 26 goals for fantasy purposes (he has just 6 “real” assists) but has not been as proficient at scooping the bonus points. His 18 BPS trail KDB (20) and five (5!) forwards including Firmino, Rooney and Vardy (19), reminding us that the BPS system heavily favors goal-scorers. The LFC attack firing –  the LFC defense is another matter – and Huddersfield is woeful. In fact, over the last five EPL matches LFC sit top of the form table (4-0-1 +7) while the Terriers are 20th (0-2-3 -8). Salah is coming off a rare EPL blank in GW24 and has recorded consecutive blanks just ONCE all season (GW8/9). He’ll get on the score sheet, but might not capture the full 3BPS.
