Outsider – Javier Hernandez, West Ham
The demise of West Ham’s fantasy value happened not with a bang, but a cascade of increasingly loud sobs. Antonio, Carroll, Noble, Kouyate, Lanzini and the Sharko are amoung the 13 (!) names listed in the Hammers injury report at Premier Injuries. David Moyes side does have a plum run of fixtures with Palace (H), Brighton (a) and Watford (H). As the only healthy threat in the side, Chicha should get the minutes while his £6.7m price gives you the room to get in Aguero and your choice of top-tier forward. Just 6.7% owned, the Mexican international scored last time out in a 26′ appearance. Without a full 90′ since GW10 – also the last time he scored in the League – that ownership is largely dead teams. His negative net transfers in 18 of the past 23 weeks shows any sensible manager got him out. Now’s the time to get him back.
Draft – Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, Stoke
EMCM is £5.4M with 3.6% ownership in the OFPL and is equally applicable as an Outsider this week as the Potters host Watford. These two sides have collaborated to lose six of their last eight league tilts on a total -11. Expecting both sides to come out aggressive as neither has displayed an ability to defend. 80% owned in Togga, Choupo-Moting has 10+ in three of five including each of his last two and highlighted by 32 (1g 1a 4 take-ons) against WBA in GW19. He created three chances and notched an assist vs Huddersfield last week and sits with 4g 5a on the season. Watford’s Andre Gray (25% owned) and Troy Deeney (35%) owned are both with a speculative add here but without knowing which new manager Javi Gracia favors – or if he’ll rotate – neither can be trusted until lineups are announced.
